In the 33rd minute, Ermano Echeverria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Garmendia kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Guayana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermano Echeverria came free, but Bermund Barcelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute Nacho Larquera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bermund Barcelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romeo Garmendia was the one to do the kick off. Sixto Armentia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hondo Toledano having to interfere. Hondo Toledano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Garmendia in the 54th minute of the match. If Romeo Garmendia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute, Romeo Garmendia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hondo Toledano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Hondo Toledano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sixto Armentia went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Romeo Garmendia hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes Guayana FC got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Armentia. Chichiriviche Deportivo's Nazario Dragana shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bermund Barcelo but with some difficulty. Bermund Barcelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermano Echeverria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guayana FC's Bermund Barcelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermano Echeverria in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Guayana FC booed when Chichiriviche Deportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Carcedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sixto Armentia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Garmendia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Guayana FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Chichiriviche Deportivo for much of the match.
