The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Presebal Baizan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 5th minute, Cedro Cerdan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nastasio Fontanez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 10th match minute, Universidad Caracas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eguntsenti Moral to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cedro Cerdan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nastasio Fontanez was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Garoa Lantadilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nastasio Fontanez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedro Cerdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Presebal Baizan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nastasio Fontanez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Nastasio Fontanez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Nastasio Fontanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cedro Cerdan in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Universidad Caracas's Nastasio Fontanez got control of the ball when Presebal Baizan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 played minutes TUCANES FC got a freekick which was hit by Lizar Sarantes. In the 34th minute, Lizar Sarantes fired away a free kick at goal. It was hit a tad too hard, and went over the crossbar. Universidad Caracas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Cedro Cerdan scored to the left of an out of position Nastasio Fontanez, making the score, 4-0. 41 minutes into the match, Universidad Caracas's goal looked a bit too open when Cedro Cerdan came free, but Nastasio Fontanez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in TUCANES FC's zone, Chago Calero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Cabalar came out of the goal and Chago Calero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th match minute, Universidad Caracas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Espejo to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Panagiotis Bissias kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Cedro Cerdan notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Universidad Caracas's Nastasio Fontanez. Nastasio Fontanez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the game, Cedro Cerdan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Nastasio Fontanez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Presebal Baizan struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Nastasio Fontanez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TUCANES FC. Nastasio Fontanez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Presebal Baizan in the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Xorxe Escola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Universidad Caracas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TUCANES FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Universidad Caracas's Xorxe Escola got a free kick in the 69th minute. Nastasio Fontanez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Presebal Baizan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Universidad Caracas's Nastasio Fontanez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Presebal Baizan in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Cedro Cerdan notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Universidad Caracas's Nastasio Fontanez. Nastasio Fontanez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. TUCANES FC's Cedro Cerdan got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Presebal Baizan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nastasio Fontanez having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Universidad Caracas's goal looked a bit too open when Pasqual Pacheco came free, but Nastasio Fontanez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Presebal Baizan in the 95th minute of play forced Universidad Caracas's goalkeeper Nastasio Fontanez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
