Franco Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romo Pulido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Behe Clavijo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Lomas de Urdaneta FC's Manolito España got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute Frederico Artealde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Artealde in the 41st minute of play. During the 42nd minute of the match Behe Clavijo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Behe Clavijo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Lomas de Urdaneta FC's Behe Clavijo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Central Madeirense FC's goalkeeper Teyo Heneses had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Przemyslaw Gniewek. In the 48th minute, Lomas de Urdaneta FC's Haroldo Pillado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frederico Artealde was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inaki Loayza in the 57th minute of play forced Central Madeirense FC's goalkeeper Teyo Heneses to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teyo Heneses showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Przemyslaw Gniewek in the 65th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Lomas de Urdaneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Manolito España. Lomas de Urdaneta FC's Reasco Barrero was substituted for Paulo Elorza. The supporters of Central Madeirense FC booed when Lomas de Urdaneta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manolito España didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franco Mata came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Central Madeirense FC's Frederico Artealde. But to his dismay, Frederico Artealde quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Martino Orense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teyo Heneses having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lomas de Urdaneta FC's Gartzen Almiron got a free kick in the 97th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
