Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Llorienzo Lecanda started the match with the kick off. Club Mercedes were furious when Sabino Damar was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 4th minute, one of Club Mercedes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Mercedes. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Papo Fortea put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Peyo Bustos. In the 14th minute Veronica Elorza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atarratze Solis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xurxo Rasines hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Petroleros de Cabimas's Llorienzo Lecanda in 22 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Peyo Bustos guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Club Mercedes's Veronica Elorza got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peyo Bustos stood somewhat misplaced when Llorienzo Lecanda came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. After a rather tough play, Petroleros de Cabimas's Xurxo Rasines got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

The wind increased when Veronica Elorza made the kick off in the second half. After 53rd play minutes Llorienzo Lecanda shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Peyo Bustos and just under the crossbar into goal. Peyo Bustos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Llorienzo Lecanda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peyo Bustos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Llorienzo Lecanda's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Veronica Elorza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corderun Perucho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Peyo Bustos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Llorienzo Lecanda in the 69th minute of play forced Club Mercedes's goalkeeper Peyo Bustos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Petroleros de Cabimas getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Cosme Galo hit a great ball. Ramirez Moroño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atarratze Solis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corderun Perucho in the 81st minute of play forced Club Mercedes's goalkeeper Peyo Bustos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Llorienzo Lecanda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peyo Bustos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Mon Alcedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Mercedes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Petroleros de Cabimas the free kick. Gonsalve Aubets hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Club Mercedes's Peyo Bustos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corderun Perucho in the 94th minute of play.
