Peyo Bustos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Pillado, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Peyo Bustos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wojciech Cielencki in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wojciech Cielencki to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Paulo Elorza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Mercedes's Truylos Torrecilla couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lomas de Urdaneta FC. Paulo Elorza hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Wojciech Cielencki kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lomas de Urdaneta FC's Fernandez Llamas got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lomas de Urdaneta FC's zone, Truylos Torrecilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Mata came out of the goal and Truylos Torrecilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Lomas de Urdaneta FC's Lapurdi Coloma seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lapurdi Coloma the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lomas de Urdaneta FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lapurdi Coloma had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lomas de Urdaneta FC! Franco Mata had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Truylos Torrecilla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 79th minute Veronica Elorza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Pillado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the game, Haroldo Pillado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Peyo Bustos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Martino Orense was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Club Mercedes's Mon Alcedo pulled a muscle in his back after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Behe Clavijo fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lomas de Urdaneta FC's protests and gave Behe Clavijo a yellow card for diving instead. Behe Clavijo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Club Mercedes manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Lomas de Urdaneta FC to win.
