When Roger Bannister came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Rayland FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Bannister couldn't finish the play. Humberto Ben came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayland FC's Endrick de Souza. But to his dismay, Endrick de Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Rayland FC's Eloi Bermudo got a free kick in the 10th minute. Henric Pinedo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Roger Bannister took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Ben. Humberto Ben dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 19 minutes into the match, Roger Bannister had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Ben. Deportivo Nirgua FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Bannister was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Humberto Ben stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Bannister's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. When Rayland FC's Endrick de Souza in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Nirgua FC's goalie prevented a goal. Humberto Ben stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Bannister's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Roger Bannister sped through Deportivo Nirgua FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Humberto Ben. Humberto Ben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Hernandez in the 33rd minute of play. Humberto Ben stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Bannister's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Cecilio Morales hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Bannister to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Moncho Arzube was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Nirgua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayland FC the free kick. After 50 played minutes Deportivo Nirgua FC got a freekick which was hit by Moncho Arzube. If Leszek Sidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Hernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Ben having to interfere. Endrick de Souza made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 58thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Humberto Ben would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 68 minutes into the match, Deportivo Nirgua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Bannister came free, but Humberto Ben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Cecilio Morales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Roger Bannister sped through Deportivo Nirgua FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Humberto Ben. Humberto Ben stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Bannister's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Roger Bannister struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Humberto Ben didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rayland FC. Roger Bannisters short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Humberto Ben to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 94 minutes, Endrick de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rayland FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Endrick de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Rayland FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo Nirgua FC throughout the match.
