Gitano Heban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 17 played minutes El Tanque Bolivariano got a freekick which was hit by Aztore Llago. Medero Ayala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petri Villajane, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Escualidos FC's Petri Villajane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Medero Ayala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the El Tanque Bolivariano defense, Petri Villajane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Medero Ayala. The El Tanque Bolivariano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Medero Ayala should have stopped the shot. When 武常邦 fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Escualidos FC's protests and gave 武常邦 a yellow card for diving instead. When El Tanque Bolivariano's Danilo Sande in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Escualidos FC's goalie prevented a goal. Espiridion Venero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eder Casares having to interfere. After the first half Escualidos FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danilo Sande to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Escualidos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Venerando Torrado was slow to take the kick. During this time El Tanque Bolivariano's players had a chance to rest. In the 54th minute of the match Venerando Torrado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eder Casares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. El Tanque Bolivariano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Petri Villajane scored to the left of an out of position Medero Ayala, making the score, 0-3. Fernanco Palomares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Danilo Sande got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 minutes, Iigo Cunyat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Tanque Bolivariano and the Escualidos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Medero Ayala acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Karol Dula. The supporters of Escualidos FC booed when El Tanque Bolivariano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mosen Arindez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
