The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Barinitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelhani Laura Douibi to maneuver through the defense. After 5 minutes, Cordero Placencia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zulia Caracas F.C. and the Barinitas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Zulia Caracas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordero Placencia to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Graus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porfiro Idiaquez in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Caio Soliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eliu Iñiguez came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Barinitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliu Iñiguez couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the game, Abdelhani Laura Douibi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Galo Caroll was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Barinitas's Vasco Quintano got a free kick in the 24th minute. Abelardo Graus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Pellon in the 28th minute of play. Abelardo Graus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cambranes Veraza, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Barinitas's goal looked a bit too open when Tartalo Lecuona came free, but Abelardo Graus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Porfiro Idiaquez to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Zulia Caracas F.C. defense, Abdelhani Laura Douibi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Galo Caroll. The Zulia Caracas F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Galo Caroll should have stopped the shot. Barinitas's Abelardo Graus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Barinitas from getting a goal against them. Cambranes Veraza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Abelardo Graus made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cambranes Veraza got free with Abelardo Graus in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Caio Soliz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barinitas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Porfiro Idiaquez struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Abelardo Graus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zulia Caracas F.C.. In the 73rd minute, Cambranes Veraza made a precise shot to the right of Abelardo Graus. Barinitas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Abdelhani Laura Douibi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Galo Caroll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdelhani Laura Douibi's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Abelardo Graus made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Cambranes Veraza sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelhani Laura Douibi in the 85th minute of play forced Zulia Caracas F.C.'s goalkeeper Galo Caroll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Caio Soliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barinitas's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Soliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Galo Caroll breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Cambranes Veraza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abelardo Graus. The goal made the score 4-3. In the 95th minute Abdelhani Laura Douibi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Galo Caroll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Barinitas support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
