The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Galicia's Svanbjörn von den Berg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Garcia Olivan. That made the score 3-0 after 16 minutes of play. The Americans's Garcia Olivan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save The Americans from getting a goal against them. After 24th play minutes Svanbjörn von den Berg shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Garcia Olivan and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 31st minute, Svanbjörn von den Berg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Garcia Olivan. The goal made the score 6-0. The Americans's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Svanbjörn von den Berg scored to the left of an out of position Garcia Olivan, making the score, 7-0. Bruno Romo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Garcia Olivan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Romo charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Romo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Svanbjörn von den Berg to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Deportivo Galicia's Shi Cheng Yong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garcia Olivan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 53rdth minute of the game Svanbjörn von den Berg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Americans's Garcia Olivan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svanbjörn von den Berg in the 55th minute of play forced The Americans's goalkeeper Garcia Olivan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Deportivo Galicia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Garcia Olivan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Deportivo Galicia made a substitution. Sven-Åke Granberg replaced Shi Cheng Yong. Reinaldo Cisquella hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Sven-Åke Granberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Deportivo Galicia fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Deportivo Galicia's Leonel Mesquita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Garcia Olivan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Mesquita in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Leonel Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garcia Olivan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jurand Cwenar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garcia Olivan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 79 minutes, Sven-Åke Granberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Galicia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Åke Granberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonel Mesquita in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Garcia Olivan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the match, The Americans's goal looked a bit too open when Jurand Cwenar came free, but Garcia Olivan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Leonel Mesquita notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of The Americans's Garcia Olivan. Garcia Olivan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Sven-Åke Granberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garcia Olivan was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Galicia had played much better football throughout.
