Galo Caroll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbes Beitia in the 4th minute of the match. Urbes Beitia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaio Silio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porfiro Idiaquez in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute Salvador Tabliega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Galo Caroll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Zulia Caracas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cambranes Veraza. Oihenarte Tomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Galo Caroll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Bero Guiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zulia Caracas F.C. and the Deportivo Tachira players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Zulia Caracas F.C. getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Bero Guiu hit a great ball. Bero Guiu got his second yellow card in the match during the 19th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Zulia Caracas F.C.'s Bero Guiu got a free kick in the 20th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Xosepe Juarrero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Tachira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xosepe Juarrero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zulia Caracas F.C.'s Galo Caroll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Tabliega in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Deportivo Tachira's Salvador Tabliega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Galo Caroll made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 29th minute, Salvador Tabliega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Zulia Caracas F.C. defense, Salvador Tabliega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Galo Caroll. The Zulia Caracas F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Galo Caroll should have stopped the shot. Deportivo Tachira's Urbes Beitia got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Deportivo Tachira were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cambranes Veraza to make the kick off. Urbes Beitia might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Galo Caroll. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urbes Beitia ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Zulia Caracas F.C.'s Cordero Placencia got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute, Oihenarte Tomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salvador Tabliega's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Galo Caroll skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Oihenarte Tomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Deportivo Tachira's Salvador Tabliega dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Zulia Caracas F.C.'s Galo Caroll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Tabliega in the 72nd minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Zulia Caracas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Urbes Beitia came free, but Galo Caroll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Urbes Beitia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice moves Nardo Giraldez could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Galo Caroll however easily saved by the left post. The Zulia Caracas F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Tachira were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
