The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Josias Tocalanza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zulia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josias Tocalanza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoil Garnica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 11 minutes on the clock, Osasun Verde commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 10 minutes into the game, one of Zulia FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 12 minutes into the game, Manzanilla FC's Jatsu Bango nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zorion Cepeda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Zoil Garnica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Machuca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zulia FC's Vicente Machuca in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 42nd play minutes Arnau Robres shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Zorion Cepeda and just under the crossbar into goal. Zoil Garnica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Machuca, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Manzanilla FC's Manel Salamanca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zorion Cepeda. That made the score 4-0 after 47 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Machuca to make the kick off. The supporters of Zulia FC booed when Manzanilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Albear didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zorion Cepeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manel Salamanca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zulia FC's Vicente Machuca got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Umbruso Sufiria made a precise shot to the right of Zorion Cepeda. Zulia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Zorion Cepeda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Umbruso Sufiria went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Machuca in the 82nd minute of play forced Manzanilla FC's goalkeeper Zoil Garnica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
