Bero Guiu charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Galo Caroll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaizki Paiz in the 6th minute of the match. Delmar Pascual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Galo Caroll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magallanes CF's Melquiades Ruimonte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Magallanes CF from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Magallanes CF's goalkeeper Melquiades Ruimonte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cambranes Veraza. In the 18th minute Batista Dominguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Galo Caroll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cambranes Veraza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Galo Caroll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Pascual in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Zulia Caracas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Pascual came free, but Galo Caroll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Delmar Pascual notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Zulia Caracas F.C.'s Galo Caroll. Galo Caroll was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Galo Caroll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Pascual in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Magallanes CF getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Delmar Pascual hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Zulia Caracas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Batista Dominguez came free, but Galo Caroll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tartalo Lecuona kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Batista Dominguez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Galo Caroll. Zulia Caracas F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Batista Dominguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Magallanes CF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Porfiro Idiaquez to strike the kick off in the second half. Delmar Pascual hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Mergildo Olaisola fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zulia Caracas F.C.'s protests and gave Mergildo Olaisola a yellow card for diving instead. Mergildo Olaisola kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Magallanes CF's Ezkerra Villagra tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 63 minutes, Porfiro Idiaquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zulia Caracas F.C. and the Magallanes CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zulia Caracas F.C.'s Porfiro Idiaquez got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Porfiro Idiaquez off the ground. In the 66th match minute, Zulia Caracas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Porfiro Idiaquez to maneuver through the defense. Jaizki Paiz's late challenge caught a Zulia Caracas F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batista Dominguez in the 76th minute of play forced Zulia Caracas F.C.'s goalkeeper Galo Caroll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cambranes Veraza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mergildo Olaisola hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Galo Caroll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batista Dominguez in the 87th minute of the match. Galo Caroll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmar Pascual's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Zulia Caracas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Pascual came free, but Galo Caroll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
