Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Flavio Andaltia got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tupe's zone, Oihenarte Tomas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Aniel came out of the goal and Oihenarte Tomas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Deportivo Tachira's Isaio Silio got control of the ball when Heriberto Ahumada tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Urbes Beitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Tupe's Flavio Andaltia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Isaio Silio. Isaio Silio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Eduardo Aniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Sendeño, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute, Heriberto Ahumada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salvador Tabliega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Urbes Beitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Baldomiro Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xosepe Juarrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Deportivo Tachira's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Andaltia came free, but Isaio Silio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Tupe's Heriberto Ahumada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Isaio Silio. Isaio Silio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salvador Tabliega to strike the kick off in the second half. When Edson Sendeño came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Deportivo Tachira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edson Sendeño couldn't finish the play. In the 52nd minute, Etxekopar Escolar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaio Silio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Andaltia in the 53rd minute of the match. Eduardo Aniel came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Tachira's Salvador Tabliega. But to his dismay, Salvador Tabliega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Urbes Beitia scored 2-4 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Aniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Urbes Beitia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Eduardo Aniel made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Urbes Beitia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Tachira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Edson Sendeño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Eduardo Aniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deportivo Tachira's Isaio Silio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heriberto Ahumada in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Deportivo Tachira getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Nardo Giraldez hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Deportivo Tachira's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Andaltia came free, but Isaio Silio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaio Silio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Andaltia in the 82nd minute of play. Oihenarte Tomas struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Eduardo Aniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Tachira. In the 96th minute, Heriberto Ahumada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tupe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-6. When the match was over Deportivo Tachira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tupe throughout the match.
