The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Leonel Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barinitas's Abelardo Graus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abelardo Graus made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Leonel Mesquita sent off a good shot on target. Leonel Mesquita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Abelardo Graus firmly grabbed it by the left post. Abelardo Graus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonel Mesquita in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Graus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Leonel Mesquita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abelardo Graus. The goal made the score 4-0. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Leonel Mesquita put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Abelardo Graus. If Leonel Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Leonel Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Deportivo Galicia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Mesquita couldn't finish the play. In the 48th match minute, Barinitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliu Iñiguez to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdelhani Laura Douibi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Graus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Granberg in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Mesquita in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Graus saved Barinitas from getting behind. Jurand Cwenar might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Graus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jurand Cwenar ran back to his position shaking his head. Svanbjörn von den Berg took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Graus. Abelardo Graus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. In the 75th minute, Sancho Joara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Svanbjörn von den Berg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Graus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Svanbjörn von den Berg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Graus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Abelardo Graus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svanbjörn von den Berg in the 81st minute of the match. Deportivo Galicia's Alberino Pujana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelhani Laura Douibi in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Barinitas's goal looked a bit too open when Svanbjörn von den Berg came free, but Abelardo Graus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cedro Ibarra's late challenge caught a Deportivo Galicia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cedro Ibarra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Deportivo Galicia booed when Barinitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee showed Abdelhani Laura Douibi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Barinitas getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Abdelhani Laura Douibi hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the game, Deportivo Galicia's Svanbjörn von den Berg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abelardo Graus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. If Jurand Cwenar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Deportivo Galicia had won after a very even match.
