In the 15th minute Jacques Huysmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tome Usel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Union Lara FC defense, Aírton Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tome Usel. The Union Lara FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tome Usel should have stopped the shot. Union Lara FC's Tome Usel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Pires in the 21st minute of play. Bucare EFD's Ramon Wright proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Bucare EFD from getting a goal against them. In the 94th match minute, Bucare EFD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Subijana to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Savier Labora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Wright was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bucare EFD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
