The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ximenes Castilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Siro Jolis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ximenes Castilla in the 4th minute of play. Ximenes Castilla might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siro Jolis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ximenes Castilla ran back to his position shaking his head. Linterna verde's Siro Jolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenes Castilla in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Paz Palacios dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ramon Wright, 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Bucare EFD's goal looked a bit too open when Paz Palacios came free, but Ramon Wright reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Wright showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paz Palacios in the 14th minute of the match. Ximenes Castilla took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Siro Jolis. Siro Jolis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ximenes Castilla in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siro Jolis saved Linterna verde from getting behind. Siro Jolis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximenes Castilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute Paz Palacios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Wright saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Cezary Lewandowski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ramon Wright. The goal made the score 2-1. Siro Jolis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ximenes Castilla in the 36th minute of play. Ramon Wright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paz Palacios, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Donostia Aragones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Bucare EFD's Tobias Beremundo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ximenes Castilla to make the kick off. When Ximenes Castilla came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Bucare EFD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ximenes Castilla couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, Bucare EFD's Ximenes Castilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Siro Jolis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Linterna verde's goal looked a bit too open when Ximenes Castilla came free, but Siro Jolis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bucare EFD's Celso Galdamiz was substituted for Natã Kut. Bucare EFD's Ramon Wright played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paz Palacios in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jimeno Piquero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Wright was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Cisneros in the 66th minute of play forced Bucare EFD's goalkeeper Ramon Wright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tirso Durango came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Linterna verde fans jumped to their feet. One of Linterna verde:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bucare EFD:s goal. Eladio Ruidiaz walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Eladio Ruidiaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Siro Jolis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Bucare EFD's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Cisneros came free, but Ramon Wright reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Bucare EFD's Erik Carlsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Siro Jolis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eate Urguia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramon Wright having to make a save. 94 minutes into the match, Paz Palacios notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Bucare EFD's Ramon Wright. Ramon Wright was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Siro Jolis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Carlsson went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Linterna verde were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bucare EFD for a fine match.
