Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rich Booker kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Imperial Beach AFC defense, Nolan Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wendell Gibson. The Imperial Beach AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wendell Gibson should have stopped the shot. In the 8th match minute, Imperial Beach AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Compton to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mountain Lake AFC's goalkeeper Kenneth Braswell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wendell Gibson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joesph Kane in the 16th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lionel Nieves during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Mountain Lake AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lionel Nieves. Laurence Crum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joesph Kane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oswaldo Talley fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imperial Beach AFC's protests and gave Oswaldo Talley a yellow card for diving instead. Oswaldo Talley hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Carlo Mueller took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wendell Gibson. Imperial Beach AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 30 minutes of play Imperial Beach AFC's Oswaldo Talley was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Oswaldo Talley kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joesph Kane in the 36th minute of play forced Imperial Beach AFC's goalkeeper Wendell Gibson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sydney Frye sped through Imperial Beach AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wendell Gibson. If Joesph Kane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Frye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wendell Gibson having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Mountain Lake AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Joesph Kane hit a great ball. With a little luck, Imperial Beach AFC's Wendell Gibson got control of the ball when Sydney Frye tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sydney Frye took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wendell Gibson. Wendell Gibson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Joesph Kane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wendell Gibson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joesph Kane in the 68th minute of the match. Wendell Gibson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sydney Frye in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Sydney Frye managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mountain Lake AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney Frye was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wendell Gibson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laurence Crum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Imperial Beach AFC's goalkeeper Wendell Gibson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sydney Frye. In the 93rd minute, Sydney Frye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nolan Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the game, Sydney Frye cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Wendell Gibson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mountain Lake AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
