When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tommie Norton made a kick off. Pascal Ingram might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrew Connolly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pascal Ingram ran back to his position shaking his head. Basil Ackerman struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Sammy Bullock who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyndon's Desmond Givens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommie Norton in the 78th minute of play forced Northport FC's goalkeeper Andrew Connolly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sammy Bullock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Desmond Givens having to make a save. Desmond Givens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basil Ackerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Sammy Bullock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desmond Givens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascal Ingram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrew Connolly didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommie Norton went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle, Northport FC could leave the field as winners, despite Lyndon having more of the ball for most of the match.
