Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Terrance Peoples made the kick off and thus started the match. Arcata's Wilton McCann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terrance Peoples in the 5th minute of play. Arcata's Collin Crandall got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arcata's goalkeeper Wilton McCann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ali Carver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Collin Crandall, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ernie McDermott took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Carver. Ali Carver dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Aidan Jackson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Terrance Peoples recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Ross Cagle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Aidan Jackson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Wilton McCann, passed just outside the right post. In the 32nd minute, Ernie McDermott ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Carver was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After having played for 35 minutes, Aidan Jackson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West De Land AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aidan Jackson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kip Hammons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Collin Crandall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arcata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Collin Crandall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernie McDermott to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Terrance Peoples notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Arcata's Wilton McCann. Wilton McCann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Allen McGrath hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aidan Jackson in the 65th minute of play forced Arcata's goalkeeper Wilton McCann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Terrance Peoples in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilton McCann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Arcata's Ernie McDermott in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye West De Land AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77thth minute of the game Terrance Peoples who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arcata's Wilton McCann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When West De Land AFC's Terrance Peoples in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arcata's goalie prevented a goal. Ernie McDermott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Collin Crandall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Carver having to interfere. Arcata's Wilton McCann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aidan Jackson in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of West De Land AFC booed when Arcata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Uribe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Aidan Jackson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton McCann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arcata's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
