Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sammy Vickers kicked off to start the match. Sammy Vickers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tom Lott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes McHenry FC got a freekick which was hit by Reed Byers. Jim Pendleton kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Napoleon Hawthorne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. McHenry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Napoleon Hawthorne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tom Lott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Napoleon Hawthorne, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Drew Ulrich received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kurtis Herndon came out and tried to block the shot, but Drew Ulrich slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. McHenry FC's Kurtis Herndon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save McHenry FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sammy Vickers in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tom Lott saved Minooka AFC from getting behind. Drew Ulrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurtis Herndon having to interfere. Adolfo Aldridge struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kurtis Herndon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minooka AFC. If Adolfo Aldridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Aldridge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Duane Hopkins's late challenge caught a McHenry FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duane Hopkins helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Duane Hopkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Drew Ulrich kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Napoleon Hawthorne's late challenge caught a Minooka AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Napoleon Hawthorne helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, McHenry FC's Napoleon Hawthorne got a free kick in the 55th minute. Napoleon Hawthorne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Lott having to make a save. Tom Lott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Vickers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Napoleon Hawthorne took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Lott. Tom Lott dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some careless play in the McHenry FC defense, Adolfo Aldridge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kurtis Herndon. The McHenry FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kurtis Herndon should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Minooka AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Vickers came free, but Tom Lott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Aldridge took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kurtis Herndon. Kurtis Herndon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Adolfo Aldridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Minooka AFC's Tom Lott got control of the ball when Napoleon Hawthorne tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Minooka AFC had won after a very even match.
