The supporters of Weehawken booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Toney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elvis Vigil stood somewhat misplaced when Genaro Herrera came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 27 minute. Andre Garner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Titus Spence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Genaro Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37thth minute of the game Genaro Herrera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray's Elvis Vigil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Genaro Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvis Vigil having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Weehawken's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Toney came free, but Titus Spence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Lucero made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Nelson Maddox managed to get in a good position for a shot. Weehawken's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Maddox was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvis Vigil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Roland Toney got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After some careless play in the Galatasaray defense, Nelson Maddox kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvis Vigil. The Galatasaray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvis Vigil should have stopped the shot. Weehawken's Genaro Herrera got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 75 minutes, Nelson Maddox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weehawken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Maddox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute of the match Jonathon Bernal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elvis Vigil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Galatasaray fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Weehawken. Jimmy Chadwick stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Elvis Vigil. 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray's zone, Nelson Maddox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvis Vigil came out of the goal and Nelson Maddox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the match, Weehawken's goalkeeper Titus Spence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andre Garner. Galatasaray's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
