In the 3rd minute, Mena FC's Owen Stevens ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Enrique Childs. Enrique Childs yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilbur Cortez in the 6th minute of play forced FC VAHE's goalkeeper Enrique Childs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Wilbur Cortez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Childs. FC VAHE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilbur Cortez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Wilbur Cortez sped through FC VAHE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Enrique Childs. Aaron Ball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Childs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Cortez in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 minutes FC VAHE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jackson Metz who took care of the corner kick. Enrique Childs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilbur Cortez, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC VAHE's goalkeeper Enrique Childs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enrique Childs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilbur Cortez, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes in the game, Davis Hinkle fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Enrique Childs having to interfere. If Owen Stevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilbur Cortez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Childs having to interfere. If Owen Stevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
In the 51st minute, Wilbur Cortez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mena FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 55th minute, Wilbur Cortez made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Childs. FC VAHE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. FC VAHE's Enrique Childs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davis Hinkle in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Wilbur Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilbur Cortez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Childs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Wilbur Cortez came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Mena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilbur Cortez couldn't finish the play. Enrique Childs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosario Hart in the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Mena FC's Wilbur Cortez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Childs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. FC VAHE's Enrique Childs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilbur Cortez in the 73rd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Wilbur Cortez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Enrique Childs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilbur Cortez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Childs having to interfere. Owen Stevens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Enrique Childs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wilbur Cortez came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Mena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilbur Cortez couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FC VAHE's zone, Davis Hinkle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Childs came out of the goal and Davis Hinkle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilbur Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Enrique Childs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilbur Cortez in the 88th minute of play forced FC VAHE's goalkeeper Enrique Childs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosario Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Childs having to interfere. After 91st play minutes Wilbur Cortez shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Enrique Childs and just under the crossbar into goal. Enrique Childs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilbur Cortez, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Mena FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
