Rudy Downey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Reed Talley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene MacWilliams blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reed Talley having to make a save. Val Titus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Reed Talley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toby Nelson's late challenge caught a Cheat Lake's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toby Nelson helped the player get up and apologised. Toby Nelson kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Reed Talley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Downey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cheat Lake's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wendell Goldsmith in the 19th minute. The corner led Cheat Lake's Wendell Goldsmith to fire away a dangerous shot which Reed Talley despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rudy Downey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reed Talley having to interfere. Rene MacWilliams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Reed Talley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jess Joiners short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Theron Herrera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Cheat Lake's Rudy Downey in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mamou FC's goalie prevented a goal. Micah Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Theron Herrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Rene MacWilliams got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudy Downey made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Mamou FC's goalkeeper Reed Talley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene MacWilliams. Reed Talley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Downey in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Jess Joiner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theron Herrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 69th minute, Mamou FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rene MacWilliams fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Percy Gunter kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene MacWilliams got free with Reed Talley in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Cheat Lake's Denny Hirsch got a free kick in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micah Berger in the 80th minute of play forced Cheat Lake's goalkeeper Theron Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mamou FC booed when Cheat Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Val Titus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Rene MacWilliams got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes in the game, Rudy Downey fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Reed Talley having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cheat Lake players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
