Jonas Carlos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boyce McIntosh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boyce McIntosh in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Carlos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eddy Dutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stanford Lusk to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Boyce McIntosh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonas Carlos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonas Carlos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyce McIntosh in the 60th minute of the match. Martin Doss charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Doss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in McFarland fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Cottonwood Heights AFC a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Weldon Salgado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of McFarland's Rory Dent. 1-0. Jonas Carlos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyce McIntosh in the 77th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Cottonwood Heights AFC got a freekick which was hit by Willard Hillman. 1-1 became the score in the 80th minute when Boyce McIntosh elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a little luck, Cottonwood Heights AFC's Jonas Carlos got control of the ball when Eddy Dutton tried to sneak it across the goal line. McFarland were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Cottonwood Heights AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Calvin Barnard took the corner. Donny Browne was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jonas Carlos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyce McIntosh, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Cottonwood Heights AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Boyce McIntosh 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. When the final whistle sounded McFarland left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cottonwood Heights AFC.
