Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sergio Cornelius started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, S.E Firewheel's goalkeeper Samuel Bauman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Conley. In the 5th match minute, S.E Firewheel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Timmons to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Mayodan's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Cornelius came free, but Steve Baron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the S.E Firewheel defense, Benito Conley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Bauman. The S.E Firewheel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Bauman should have stopped the shot. In the 18th match minute, Mayodan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Smith to maneuver through the defense. Steve Baron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Cornelius in the 19th minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Mayodan got a freekick which was hit by Donnie Rogers. After 28 played minutes S.E Firewheel got a freekick which was hit by Tuan Kenny. Homer Draper blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steve Baron having to make a save. Homer Draper hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan Fletcher to strike the kick off in the second half. Homer Draper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Steve Baron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Baron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Cornelius in the 53rd minute of play. When Kurt Richardson came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Mayodan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Richardson couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergio Cornelius in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steve Baron saved Mayodan from getting behind. In the 70th minute, Tuan Kenny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in S.E Firewheel's zone, Alan Fletcher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Bauman came out of the goal and Alan Fletcher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Bauman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Fletcher, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Homer Draper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Baron having to interfere. Sergio Cornelius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Baron having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Sergio Cornelius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alan Fletcher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Homer Draper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Steve Baron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Conley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Samuel Bauman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the S.E Firewheel players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mayodan.
