Warner Magee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristopher Huffman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Woodrow McKnight ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Warner Magee was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Woodrow McKnight managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaunakakai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Woodrow McKnight was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warner Magee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Len Nunez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Abrams having to interfere. After some careless play in the Shinnston FC defense, Kristopher Huffman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Warner Magee. The Shinnston FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Warner Magee should have stopped the shot. Len Nunez made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 25thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Bill Abrams would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The supporters of Shinnston FC booed when Kaunakakai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Whitley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bill Abrams stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Esposito's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 32 minutes, Dwight McIntyre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shinnston FC and the Kaunakakai FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Shinnston FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kaunakakai FC:s goal. Zane Currie placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Emery Odell hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 39 minutes, Woodrow McKnight made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Shinnston FC's Warner Magee tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Warner Magee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristopher Huffman, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristopher Huffman to make the kick off. Kyle Esposito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bill Abrams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bill Abrams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Len Nunez in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Oscar Tovar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Len Nunez in the 64th minute of play forced Kaunakakai FC's goalkeeper Bill Abrams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Tovar hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 69 played minutes Kristopher Huffman rounded Shinnston FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. If Woodrow McKnight had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Huffman in the 79th minute of play forced Shinnston FC's goalkeeper Warner Magee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes Kaunakakai FC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Whitley. Warner Magee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristopher Huffman, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Emery Odell hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Warner Magee acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zane Currie. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 89th minute, but Warner Magee got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Shinnston FC hanging dry this time. 92 minutes into the match, Woodrow McKnight had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Warner Magee. Shinnston FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Woodrow McKnight was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Kaunakakai FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
