Rey Brandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Edgar Barnhart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Nederland FC booed when Peekskill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco McKinnon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Rubin Thorne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stuart Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francesco McKinnon got his second yellow card in the match during the 45th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 46th minute, Francesco McKinnon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rey Brandt made a kick off. Steve Davila hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Rey Brandt struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Edgar Barnhart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peekskill AFC. Nederland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubin Thorne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stuart Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rey Brandt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Barnhart having to interfere. Stuart Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steve Davila in the 71st minute. Marc Walker hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Peekskill AFC's goalkeeper Stuart Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubin Thorne. Edgar Barnhart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matt Jarvis during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute Marc Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Barnhart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marc Walker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Barnhart read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Nederland FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Peekskill AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
