Spectators: 6699 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mohammed Cegielski started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Narberth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathaniel Hancock to maneuver through the defense. Rhett Lindsey took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Johnnie Saldana. Narberth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Johnnie Saldana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monte Eddy went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Coal Valley FC defense, Mohammed Cegielski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Porter Bowden. The Coal Valley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Porter Bowden should have stopped the shot. Coal Valley FC's Porter Bowden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Coal Valley FC from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coal Valley FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Keith Negron was slow to take the kick. During this time Narberth's players had a chance to rest. Denny Lugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Denny Lugo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Narberth's Johnnie Saldana. Johnnie Saldana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Monte Eddy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Denny Lugo got free with Johnnie Saldana in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Johnnie Saldana made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Denny Lugo sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 57 minutes, Timmy Howe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Narberth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timmy Howe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mohammed Cegielski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Monte Eddy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Monte Eddy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnnie Saldana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnnie Saldana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monte Eddy, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Cedric Boyce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, Monte Eddy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johnnie Saldana. Monte Eddy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Coal Valley FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
