Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evan McManus started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Nahmardel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Winn came free, but Marcos Slater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Slater took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luther Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th match minute, Nahmardel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Soto to maneuver through the defense. Watchung's J.C. Huber couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nahmardel FC. With a little luck, Watchung's Rodger Singletary got control of the ball when Ty Terrell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Watchung's Rodger Singletary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evan McManus in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Watchung's Luther Rios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Slater narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Nahmardel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Winn came free, but Marcos Slater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nahmardel FC's Ty Terrell, in the 21st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Nahmardel FC. Tommie Winn struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Marcos Slater didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Watchung. Luther Rios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nahmardel FC's Marcos Slater played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommie Winn in the 34th minute of play. Marcos Slater took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luther Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodger Singletary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan McManus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luther Rios struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Marcos Slater didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Watchung. If Evan McManus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Barnes kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Ty Terrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rodger Singletary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Nahmardel FC booed when Watchung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Farrar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tommie Winn made a kick off. Ty Terrell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodger Singletary having to make a save. Marcos Slater was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Devin Numbers. Evan McManus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Slater showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommie Winn, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Ty Terrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodger Singletary having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Evan McManus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodger Singletary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodger Singletary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan McManus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Evan McManus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nahmardel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evan McManus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodger Singletary breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 minutes, J.C. Huber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Watchung and the Nahmardel FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Watchung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by J.C. Huber to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Watchung's zone, Evan McManus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodger Singletary came out of the goal and Evan McManus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evan McManus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodger Singletary having to make a save. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Watchung's goalkeeper Rodger Singletary, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nahmardel FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
