Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Darin Whitaker got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Judsonia FC's zone, Darin Whitaker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roscoe Sloan came out of the goal and Darin Whitaker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roscoe Sloan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Grosse Pointe Woods's Darin Whitaker shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 14th minute, Olin Foster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Judsonia FC's Roscoe Sloan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Cordova in the 16th minute of play. Earl Clifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasper Acosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Earl Clifford in the 21st minute of the match. Clay McKay might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jasper Acosta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clay McKay ran back to his position shaking his head. 1-1 became the score in the 28th minute when Earl Clifford elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Clay McKay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jasper Acosta. Grosse Pointe Woods's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clay McKay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Earl Clifford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Darin Whitaker notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Judsonia FC's Roscoe Sloan. Roscoe Sloan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After having played for 54 minutes, Asher Wilkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grosse Pointe Woods's supporters crossed their fingers, but Asher Wilkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Earl Clifford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Cordova got free with Roscoe Sloan in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Earl Clifford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 played minutes Judsonia FC got a freekick which was hit by Landon Starr. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grosse Pointe Woods's goalkeeper Jasper Acosta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Clay McKay came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Judsonia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clay McKay couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Darin Whitaker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roscoe Sloan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Cordova got free with Roscoe Sloan in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clay McKay struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Jasper Acosta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Judsonia FC. Luciano Cordova received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Roscoe Sloan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Roscoe Sloan managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Grosse Pointe Woods's Luciano Cordova fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 93rd minute, Luciano Cordova made a precise shot to the right of Roscoe Sloan. Judsonia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The Grosse Pointe Woods supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Grosse Pointe Woods would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
