Bryon Whitten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Escobedo in the 8th minute of the match. Bart Herring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryon Whitten having to interfere. With his leg Freddy Riddle managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Mercer's Jim Link fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carlos Darden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Trump President Oklahoma's zone, Jim Link stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Riddle came out of the goal and Jim Link tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Dave Escobedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryon Whitten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trump President Oklahoma's Freddy Riddle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Trump President Oklahoma from getting a goal against them. If Luke Garrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Freddy Riddle managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Mercer's Jim Link fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luke Garrett made a kick off. Stanley Herring kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Luke Garrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Riddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Garrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Dennis Guthrie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jim Link received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Freddy Riddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bart Herring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bryon Whitten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim Link sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stanley Herring hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Garrett in the 86th minute of play forced Trump President Oklahoma's goalkeeper Freddy Riddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Riddle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Link in the 91st minute of play.
