Young Brooks was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Todd Barnes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Todd Barnes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When Shawnee FC's Weston Crabtree in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Weston Crabtree to make the kick off. Weston Crabtree's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quentin Coppack read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Xavier Sanderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin Coppack having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Forsyth's goalkeeper Quentin Coppack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavier Sanderson. After a defensive mix-up in Shawnee FC's zone, Todd Barnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Young Brooks came out of the goal and Todd Barnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quentin Coppack was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vernon Pace hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Xavier Sanderson came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Shawnee FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Sanderson couldn't finish the play. If Weston Crabtree had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Shawnee FC's Xavier Sanderson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quentin Coppack narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Forsyth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Flynn to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the match, Shawnee FC's goal looked a bit too open when Todd Barnes came free, but Young Brooks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
