Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luis Griggs took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute, Billy Short hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glenn Staples scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Russell Rosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Luis Griggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Randall Burgos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Russell Rosa. Warson Woods AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Randall Burgos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Jess Matson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Ocean City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warson Woods AFC the free kick. In the 26th minute, Jess Matson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elijah Sandoval might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Larry Dean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elijah Sandoval ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Warson Woods AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Griggs came free, but Russell Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Randall Burgos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Russell Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Griggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, West Ocean City's goal looked a bit too open when Rufus Gillis came free, but Larry Dean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Warson Woods AFC's Elijah Sandoval made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Larry Dean was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rufus Gillis made a kick off. If Luis Griggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Luis Griggs notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Warson Woods AFC's Russell Rosa. Russell Rosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as West Ocean City's Randall Burgos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Russell Rosa. That made the score 1-4 after 58 minutes of play. Russell Rosa made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Randall Burgos sent off a good shot on target. When Luis Griggs came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the West Ocean City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Griggs couldn't finish the play. If Randall Burgos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Griggs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Billy Short hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Randall Burgos managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Ocean City's supporters rose to their feet, but Randall Burgos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russell Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over West Ocean City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Warson Woods AFC throughout the match.
