Dorchester Select's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicky Palacios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Quinton Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Brandon in the 8th minute of the match. Derick Carr scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quinton Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Gilbert Löfgren came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Dorchester Select fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilbert Löfgren couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd play minute Gilbert Löfgren came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Brad Smallwood. 1-2. With his leg Brad Smallwood managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Dorchester Select's Brendon Edmondson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Trey Bates was shown his second yellow card after 48 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brendon Edmondson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Muskogee AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jeremiah Woodward who took care of the corner kick. Brad Smallwood came out of the goal and Gilbert Löfgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
