Lane Wiley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenic Braden, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rhett Link in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lane Wiley saved Mendenhall AFC from getting behind. Lane Wiley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rhett Link in the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mendenhall AFC's Willard Squires got a free kick in the 13th minute. Rhett Link struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Lane Wiley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sun Prairie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domenic Braden during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sun Prairie getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Domenic Braden hit a great ball. Sol Palacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Berg in the 24th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Rhett Link reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lane Wiley. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 46th minute Rhett Link shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lane Wiley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When DeAndre Cates fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mendenhall AFC's protests and gave DeAndre Cates a yellow card for diving instead. If Bobby Logan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Stephan Staples kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sun Prairie's Genaro Manuel got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Sterling Abernathy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 85 in the game by Rory Berg from a close distance when the talented Sol Palacios managed to make a qualified save. Sun Prairie's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Sun Prairie's zone, Young Engel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sol Palacios came out of the goal and Young Engel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rhett Link fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lane Wiley having to interfere. Lane Wiley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhett Link in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
