Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Shadyside's David Ellis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tim Phipps kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Titus Bullard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pontotoc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shadyside the free kick. After 5 played minutes Pontotoc got a freekick which was hit by Titus Bullard. 9 minutes into the match, Pontotoc's goal looked a bit too open when David Ellis came free, but Errol Carlton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Landon Middleton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rufus Larkin was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Errol Carlton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Ellis, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 13 minutes, Jeramy Crum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shadyside and the Pontotoc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jose Whittaker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Larkin having to interfere. Rufus Larkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Whittaker in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Landon Middleton in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rufus Larkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rufus Larkin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Pontotoc's Jose Whittaker shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Jordan Marcus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Whittaker in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rufus Larkin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Brice Hancock struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Rufus Larkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontotoc. Tim Phipps hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Shadyside's Rufus Larkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Shadyside from getting a goal against them. Armando Mayfield struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Rufus Larkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontotoc. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Whittaker in the 41st minute of play forced Shadyside's goalkeeper Rufus Larkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Shadyside's Kyle Ham got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes Shadyside got a freekick which was hit by Rupert Sheets. 45 minutes into the match, Landon Middleton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rufus Larkin. Shadyside's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Landon Middleton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Whittaker to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Jose Whittaker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufus Larkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Landon Middleton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rufus Larkin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Jose Whittaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rufus Larkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Landon Middleton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufus Larkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Landon Middleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Kyle Ham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Errol Carlton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Ellis, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Errol Carlton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Phipps in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Shadyside's goal looked a bit too open when Landon Middleton came free, but Rufus Larkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jordan Marcus in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rufus Larkin saved Shadyside from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, Armando Mayfield had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rufus Larkin. Shadyside's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Mayfield was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Armando Mayfield kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Pontotoc's Landon Middleton got a free kick in the 75th minute. Rufus Larkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordan Marcus in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute, Jose Whittaker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rufus Larkin was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 89 minutes into the match, Jose Whittaker notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Shadyside's Rufus Larkin. Rufus Larkin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Sheets in the 92nd minute of play forced Pontotoc's goalkeeper Errol Carlton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Errol Carlton made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Kyle Ham sent off a good shot on target. Jordan Marcus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pontotoc's Armando Mayfield got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pontotoc had played much better football throughout.
