Encinitas's Randell Allen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Langørgen in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Encinitas's goal looked a bit too open when Cliff Stephenson came free, but Randell Allen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Dennis Langørgen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Randell Allen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jorge Slaughter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Allen having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Encinitas's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Navarra came free, but Randell Allen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Slaughter in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Randell Allen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Slaughter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Allen having to interfere. After 48 played minutes Encinitas got a freekick which was hit by Jamar Keys. Rubin McMahon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Randell Allen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Encinitas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Energy FC were winning 0-2.
