Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stephan Kitchen got the match started through his kick off. Eddy Whitlock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Collin Christie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Eliseo Dill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 7 minutes, Marcus Weaver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RiverCity Hawks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Weaver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th match minute, Mount Ivy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonzo Brennan to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute RiverCity Hawks were awarded a corner. Drew Spivey went to the cornerflag to take it. RiverCity Hawks's Drew Spivey was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Collin Christie in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eddy Whitlock in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Collin Christie saved Mount Ivy from getting behind. Marcus Weaver might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Collin Christie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Weaver ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Seth Thorne managed to get in a good position for a shot. RiverCity Hawks's supporters rose to their feet, but Seth Thorne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Collin Christie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Collin Christie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Weaver's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Bernie Thacker kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Mount Ivy's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Weaver came free, but Collin Christie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Eliseo Dill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mount Ivy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RiverCity Hawks the free kick. Eliseo Dill hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Mount Ivy's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Weaver came free, but Collin Christie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Rosado's late challenge caught a Mount Ivy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Rosado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, RiverCity Hawks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Rosado to maneuver through the defense. After 35 played minutes, Mount Ivy's Eliseo Dill shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andreas Putnam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mount Ivy reached it. The supporters of Mount Ivy booed when RiverCity Hawks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Pennington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Collin Christie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Whitlock in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Milan Barbour had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andreas Putnam. RiverCity Hawks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Milan Barbour was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Stephan Kitchen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Pennington hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Mount Ivy defense, Roosevelt Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Collin Christie. The Mount Ivy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Collin Christie should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Seth Thorne was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Mount Ivy's Collin Christie got control of the ball when Marcus Weaver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Dill was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 53 played minutes Mount Ivy got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Dill. Eddy Whitlock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Collin Christie having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Mount Ivy's goalkeeper Collin Christie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Weaver. When RiverCity Hawks's Seth Thorne in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mount Ivy's goalie prevented a goal. If Marcus Weaver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Whitlock might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Collin Christie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eddy Whitlock ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Seth Thorne in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Collin Christie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the game, Bernie Thacker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mount Ivy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RiverCity Hawks the free kick. Bernie Thacker kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. RiverCity Hawks's Roosevelt Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Weaver made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 80thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Collin Christie would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 85 minutes into the game, Marcus Weaver lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Collin Christie. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Sanford Stewart managed to get in a good position for a shot. RiverCity Hawks's supporters rose to their feet, but Sanford Stewart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Collin Christie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Mount Ivy's Collin Christie got control of the ball when Marcus Weaver tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 92nd minute, RiverCity Hawks's Marcus Weaver ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Collin Christie. Collin Christie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Roosevelt Cruz struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Collin Christie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RiverCity Hawks. RiverCity Hawks's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
