Spectators: 6714 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wilfredo Craig got the match started through his kick off. If Ari Harrison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Wilford Smart in the 7th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Oberlin getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Sal Muniz hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Oberlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chuck Talbot to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Wayne FC's Ricardo Adkins got a free kick in the 17th minute. Edward Putnam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Thurman Sheehan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ari Harrison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th match minute, Oberlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Winkler to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes of play, Oberlin's Tony Roland made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thurman Sheehan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oberlin's Jorge Norman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Oberlin from getting a goal against them. If Ari Harrison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilford Smart made a kick off. Jorge Norman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ari Harrison's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Oberlin's Jorge Norman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ari Harrison in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Wayne FC's Ari Harrison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Norman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Oberlin's Osvaldo Gay was substituted for Wilfredo Craig. Ricardo Adkins struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Jorge Norman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wayne FC. After 68 played minutes Oberlin got a freekick which was hit by Sal Muniz. If Wilford Smart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Oberlin got a freekick which was hit by Chuck Talbot. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Osvaldo Gay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oberlin's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Gay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thurman Sheehan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th match minute, Oberlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Winkler to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the game, Ray Wray was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oberlin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wayne FC the free kick. In the 89th minute, one of Oberlin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Oberlin. Jorge Norman went to the wrong direction when Mario Mathews was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Wayne FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Oberlin's performance. The match ended with a win for Oberlin.
