Spectators: 7323 (Terracing: 5559, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 60) With an all-out effort, Pinole FC's Theron Epps threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Neil Justice, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pinole FC's Wally Workman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Foster Wallace in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to WC 86 getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Leif Califf hit a great ball. Alvaro Maurino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Theron Epps having to make a save. Eddy Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wally Workman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Califf in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Pinole FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Eddy Matos hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Alvaro Maurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theron Epps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klement Kocieniewski was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Felipe Moon charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Moon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of WC 86 booed when Pinole FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Moon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute Alvaro Maurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theron Epps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Klement Kocieniewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Theron Epps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Theron Epps stood somewhat misplaced when Eddy Matos came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 48 minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leif Califf was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, WC 86's Dave Padgett got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Pinole FC's Alvaro Maurino in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye WC 86's goalie prevented a goal. Eddy Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, WC 86's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Matos came free, but Theron Epps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wally Workman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Califf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Pinole FC's goalkeeper Wally Workman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacob Pritchett. Theron Epps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. WC 86's Theron Epps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Moon in the 72nd minute of play. Wally Workman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonah Holland in the 73rd minute of the match. Alvaro Maurino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, WC 86's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Kocieniewski came free, but Theron Epps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in WC 86's zone, Alvaro Maurino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theron Epps came out of the goal and Alvaro Maurino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abe Sylvester during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of WC 86 booed when Pinole FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abe Sylvester didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wally Workman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Pritchett in the 87th minute of play. When Alvaro Maurino came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Pinole FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Maurino couldn't finish the play. Eddy Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Theron Epps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stacey Walton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pinole FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
