Sherwood Story made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 43 minutes into the match, Gallipolis AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Scottie Doe came free, but Sherwood Story reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josef Toney's late challenge caught a Utah Net FBC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Gallipolis AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nolan Berg to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Utah Net FBC booed when Gallipolis AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nolan Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Scottie Doe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utah Net FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Scottie Doe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sherwood Story breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Utah Net FBC's Paul Sneed got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gallipolis AFC's Sherwood Story played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Sneed in the 95th minute of play. Utah Net FBC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
