Blue Rage's Mario Thorpe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Blue Rage from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Blue Rage getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Dwayne Gillis hit a great ball. Geraldo Raymond received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mario Thorpe came out and tried to block the shot, but Geraldo Raymond slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. After 11 played minutes, Anna's Mervin Ibarra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mario Thorpe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Anna reached it. If Walker Cortes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Blue Rage's Mario Thorpe got control of the ball when Geraldo Raymond tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Roman Waller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sherwood Mims made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Melvin in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Blue Rage's Mario Thorpe got control of the ball when Geraldo Raymond tried to sneak it across the goal line. Blue Rage's Mario Thorpe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Blue Rage from getting a goal against them. If Walker Cortes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Anna's goal looked a bit too open when Walker Cortes came free, but Sherwood Mims reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Walker Cortes made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Geraldo Raymond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mario Thorpe was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 54 minutes into the game, Geraldo Raymond cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Mario Thorpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Walker Cortes came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Blue Rage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walker Cortes couldn't finish the play. Mario Thorpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Raymond in the 64th minute of play. Mario Thorpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colby Epps, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulysses Melvin kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Walker Cortes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Sherwood Mims when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Anna booed when Blue Rage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwayne Gillis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Blue Rage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walker Cortes to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 88 minutes, Walker Cortes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Rage's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walker Cortes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 95 played minutes Blue Rage got a freekick which was hit by Rocky Lucas. Mario Thorpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Raymond in the 97th minute of the match. Anna's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
