Davenport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Armenian Devils the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Davenport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Spangler to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Shirley during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Tobias Shirley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Matthew Vilter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Courtney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Garry Garland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armenian Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garry Garland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benny Courtney came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Armenian Devils's Matthew Vilter. But to his dismay, Matthew Vilter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 43rd minute of the match, Nathanial Veltman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jesse Weldon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andre Spangler to strike the kick off in the second half. If Chad Cerna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 minutes of play, Davenport's Claude Veltman made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jesse Weldon was left in no man's land by his defense there! The attack was good, but when Andre Spangler in the 62nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Benny Courtney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Vilter in the 79th minute of the match. Matthew Vilter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Benny Courtney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Matthew Vilter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesse Weldon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Veltman, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After some careless play in the Armenian Devils defense, Claude Veltman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesse Weldon. The Armenian Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesse Weldon should have stopped the shot. Davenport were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Armenian Devils for a fine match.
