Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Mazatlán CF's zone, Keenan William stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean Munoz came out of the goal and Keenan William tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nolan Winter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Art Peoples in the 7th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Nicky Kauffman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazatlán CF's Sean Munoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Nicky Kauffman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Utica AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicky Kauffman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Domenic Light was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Utica AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mazatlán CF the free kick. In the 21st minute Andre Tomlinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nolan Winter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keenan William sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Mazatlán CF defense, Travis Brennan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sean Munoz. The Mazatlán CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sean Munoz should have stopped the shot. Keenan William who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Sean Munoz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Utica AFC's Nolan Winter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Tomlinson in the 30th minute of play. Nolan Winter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Munson went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, Mazatlán CF's goalkeeper Sean Munoz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keenan William. With his leg Sean Munoz managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Utica AFC's Keenan William fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Mazatlán CF getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Andre Wilkinson hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keenan William made a kick off. If Nicky Kauffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Andre Tomlinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nolan Winter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicky Kauffman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sean Munoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Andre Tomlinson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nolan Winter. The goal made the score 1-2. Utica AFC's Marshall King was substituted for Alfonso Dickson. With a little luck, Utica AFC's Nolan Winter got control of the ball when Andre Wilkinson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute of the match, Art Peoples got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nolan Winter was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nolan Winter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Munson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Utica AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Tomlinson came free, but Nolan Winter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Utica AFC's Nolan Winter got control of the ball when Art Peoples tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Nicky Kauffman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utica AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicky Kauffman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Munoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
