In the 23rd minute, Damian Lusk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute Damian Lusk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preston Rader saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Jasper Kyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berwick AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jasper Kyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leland Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Damian Lusk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berwick AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Lusk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Preston Rader breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darin Roberts came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Lake Sarasota's Rich Luther. But to his dismay, Rich Luther quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 46 played minutes, Berwick AFC's Donovan Choi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Preston Rader came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Berwick AFC reached it. Damian Lusk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preston Rader having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Lusk to make the kick off. Preston Rader made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Jasper Kyle sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the game, Berwick AFC's Jasper Kyle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Preston Rader made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Damian Lusk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Preston Rader having to make a save. If Jasper Kyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leland Bernal kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Rich Luther had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Jarvis Buchanan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jake Bonds during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jake Bonds hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Rich Luther sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Lake Sarasota's protests and gave Geoffrey Hinton a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Lake Sarasota got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey Hinton. Damian Lusk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Preston Rader tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Lake Sarasota got a freekick which was hit by Tanner Zeigler. In the 88th minute of the match Donovan Choi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Preston Rader skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Lusk in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Preston Rader saved Lake Sarasota from getting behind. Lake Sarasota succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Berwick AFC had controlled the match.
