Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Kurtz to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Ruben Oakes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austin Nieves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steven Akins struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rodolfo McKinnon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mamaroneck FC. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Childersburg AFC's goalkeeper Rodolfo McKinnon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Akins. The Mamaroneck FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
