With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Spears in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Torrez saved Riverland FC from getting behind. Garry Gilmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everett Otto having to interfere. Mario Spears received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Carlos Torrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Linton FC's Everett Otto got control of the ball when Rafael Rose tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Linton FC's goalkeeper Everett Otto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Rose. In the 25thth minute of the game Garry Gilmore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linton FC's Everett Otto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Torrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Spears, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garry Gilmore in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Everett Otto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rafael Rose struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Everett Otto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riverland FC. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Spears to strike the kick off in the second half. Linton FC's Rudy Gann managed to work through Riverland FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rudy Gann dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 56th minute, Rafael Rose ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everett Otto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Linton FC's Everett Otto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Gilmore in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Riverland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calvin McLean to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Torrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Spears, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 68 played minutes Linton FC got a freekick which was hit by Merle Wilson. In the 69th minute of the match Geoffrey McClain shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Everett Otto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Garry Gilmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everett Otto having to interfere. When Ricardo Kyle fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linton FC's protests and gave Ricardo Kyle a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Kyle kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Rafael Rose might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everett Otto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Rose ran back to his position shaking his head. Garry Gilmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Everett Otto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riverland FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
