Bryon Larson started the match with the kick off. Kirk Holliday received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Percy Jarrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bryon Larson struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Brahim Charradi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hands of God. Keith Gardner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keith Gardner in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percy Jarrett saved Hands of God from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Ronny Naylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keith Gardner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percy Jarrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Keith Gardner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hands of God's zone, Keith Gardner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Jarrett came out of the goal and Keith Gardner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Hands of God's Ronny Naylor got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Keith Gardner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Moses Dupre from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Percy Jarrett's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stewart Paquette got free with Percy Jarrett in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Keith Gardner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ari Madden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keith Gardner made a kick off. Hands of God's Percy Jarrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Gardner in the 52nd minute of play. Keith Gardner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Jarrett having to interfere. Percy Jarrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Holliday in the 60th minute of the match. If Ari Madden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kirk Holliday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hands of God's Percy Jarrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Gardner in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Kirk Holliday managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Jordan AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirk Holliday was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percy Jarrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith Gardner in the 77th minute of play forced Hands of God's goalkeeper Percy Jarrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hands of God's zone, Keith Gardner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Jarrett came out of the goal and Keith Gardner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to South Jordan AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Adrian Gabriel hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Holliday in the 87th minute of play forced Hands of God's goalkeeper Percy Jarrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Keith Gardner notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hands of God's Percy Jarrett. Percy Jarrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Percy Jarrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keith Gardner went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. South Jordan AFC fully deserved thier win.
