Keith Gardner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Holliday in the 10th minute of play forced Villa Hills's goalkeeper Hans Hope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kirk Holliday recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans Hope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Holliday in the 27th minute of the match. Hans Hope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Gabriel in the 30th minute of play. Keith Gardner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Hope having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Keith Gardner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Villa Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Kirk Holliday came free, but Hans Hope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keith Gardner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Hope having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Kirk Holliday got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jason Lassiter to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, South Jordan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stewart Paquette to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the match, Villa Hills's Dan Sams broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in South Jordan AFC's zone, Lane Madison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brahim Charradi came out of the goal and Lane Madison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keith Gardner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hans Hope read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Keith Gardner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 63 minutes, Kirk Holliday managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Jordan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirk Holliday was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. South Jordan AFC's Keith Gardner managed to work through Villa Hills's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Keith Gardner dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Villa Hills's Hans Hope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Gardner in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Shaun Kennedy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villa Hills's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Jordan AFC the free kick. In the 69th minute, Shaun Kennedy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Stephan Kiser fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Hills's protests and gave Stephan Kiser a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Villa Hills got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Kiser. Keith Gardner was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. South Jordan AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 83 minutes of play, South Jordan AFC's Kirk Holliday made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hans Hope was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keith Gardner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shaun Kennedy got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. South Jordan AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
