Boyd Diggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Cao Xiao having to interfere. After 21 minutes of play, New Buffalo's Chance Larsen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felix Cao Xiao was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chance Larsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Cao Xiao having to interfere. Felix Cao Xiao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chance Larsen in the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Derby's Everett Chambers got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

Charlton Burrows showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachariah Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Chance Larsen in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Felix Cao Xiao, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Everett Chambers's late challenge caught a New Buffalo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Derby's goalkeeper Felix Cao Xiao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Zachariah Hong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlton Burrows saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New Buffalo played a much better game than Derby and deserved their victory. The Derby players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
